How do you get to the Düden Waterfalls?
Short answer: it depends which Düden you mean. Upper Düden is inland, in Kepez. Lower Düden is east of the centre, on the cliffs above the sea. Both are close to central Antalya and both fit into one day, but they are in different directions.
Approaching Upper Düden
Upper Düden is in the Kepez district, about a kilometre from Varsak. You head inland from the city centre. The site is laid out as a recreation area, so it is signposted and has parking, and reaching the falls does not involve a long walk.
Most people who come here do not simply look and leave. Allow for that when you plan: this is closer to a few hours than a half hour stop.
Approaching Lower Düden
Lower Düden is on the coast east of the centre, towards Lara. The distance from the middle of the city is measured in single figures of kilometres, so you never really leave town: you follow the coast road and arrive above the cliffs.
Go knowing that there is no land route down to the base. Viewing happens from the terraces on top. If you want the head-on view from sea level, boat trips run along this stretch of coast, which is a different experience rather than a way of getting there.

The flexible option
Best if you plan to see both in one day, because you control the timing of the drive between them. Both sites have parking, and an early start helps on busy days.
Cheap, needs a little planning
Both areas are covered by the municipal network. We do not print line numbers here because they change. Confirm the current line in a maps app before you set out.
Short and quick
Both sites are close enough to the centre for a short ride. In a group, the cost per person gets close to public transport.
Both in one day: a sensible order
Seeing both in a day is common and comfortable. Let the light decide the order:
- Morning: Upper Düden. The wooded area is brighter before noon and the passage behind the water gets better light. It is also cooler.
- Midday: the city centre. Kaleiçi and the old town sit naturally between the two.
- Late afternoon: Lower Düden. As the light softens the colour of the sea returns and cliffs and water read better.

Is parking a problem if I drive?
There is parking at both sites. It fills up in summer and at weekends. Arriving early helps with both parking and crowds.
Can I see both in one day?
Yes. Upper Düden is inland in Kepez, Lower Düden is east towards Lara, and both are close to the centre with a city drive in between. Upper in the morning and Lower in the late afternoon works well, because the light on the coast softens later in the day.
Can I go straight there from the airport?
Antalya Airport is east of the city and closer to Lower Düden than to Upper Düden. If you want one stop on the way in, Lower Düden is the sensible one.
